Barwon Health provides residential aged care on two spacious campuses. Low level care is provided at:Percy Baxter Lodges which offers 82 low care beds is located at the McKellar Centre campus on Ballarat Road North Geelong. High level care is provided at:McKellar Centre Ballarat Road North Geelong - Wallace Lodge which is a 108 bed home was completed in June 2006. - Blakiston Lodge which is a secure 90 bed dementia and aged persons mental health home was completed in May 2007. Torquay Road Charlemont - Alan David Lodge which is a 108 bed home was completed in May 2008. Barwon Health’s Residential Aged Care Facilities are involved in two accreditation programs:National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS). The Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency (ACSAA). This accreditation program is a Commonwealth Government initiative. All residential and aged care facilities need to be accredited with the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency to continue to receive ongoing government funding. These two accreditation programs are based upon a commitment from healthcare organisations to continually improve the quality care and services offered.
