Andrina Aged Care is a 50 bed facility which provides care and accommodation for both low and high care residents including a secure dementia unit.Andrina relocated from Brighton where it had provided quality care for more than 50 years. It is now located in a quiet residential street in Carrum Downs and is surrounded by very pleasant and secure garden areas which can be easily accessed by residents and families. Andrina is very close to a good sized shopping centre as well as several restaurants and a hotel.Andrina has a secure High Care Dementia Specific wing which accommodates 26 residents and an Ageing in Place wing which accommodates a further 24 residents. Both wings have large welcoming and comfortable lounge and dining room areas for residents to enjoy and socialize in. Television reading material wireless internet and radio are available to residents. Andrina Aged Care has 46 single bedrooms and for those who wish to share accommodation two double rooms. Each bedroom has its own generously proportioned ensuite bathroom containing shower and toilet. All rooms have ceiling fans and individual hydronic heating units which can be controlled by the resident to ensure a comfortable environment. The rooms have good natural light and most with a garden view. Residents are encouraged to personalize their rooms as they choose by bringing some of their own personal belongings; paintings photographs or special mementos.
