Gold Coast Aged Care welcomes Hawthorn Village in Blackmans Bay, TAS 7052 residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms by bringing items from their previous home.

Hawthorn Village is located at 23 Wells Parade, Blackmans Bay.

Blackmans Bay is a small beachside community which has developed into a modern residential township bordering onto Kingston, the main shopping and service centre for the area.

The facility is built on an elevated block with a pleasant outlook to the surrounding area. The local beach, coffee shop/restaurant and convenience shops are within easy walking distance.

Hawthorn Village has 52 single rooms (including one respite bed) each with private ensuite and provision of conjoined rooms for three married couples. Hawthorn Village has 13 bed secure dementia area all linked by enclosed walkways to the main administration building, dining, lounge and hospitality services. The facility is able to offer low and high care services with a commitment to quality care, homely living environment and friendly staff.

The services of a Hairdresser and Podiatrist are offered on-site. Residents and visitors are able to enjoy the landscaped gardens and outdoor seating areas. An activity program designed to meet individual needs is offered on a daily basis. Regular bus outings and barbecues are included in the activity program. We also offer Community Aged Care Packages.

Hawthorn Village encourages residents to maintain their independent living and continue community contacts through family and friends.

Hawthorn Village has a Chaplain who visits the facility weekly. Prospective residents and families are welcome to visit Hawthorn Village to observe the facilities offered.
