Wesley Rayward Carlingford is an ageing in place facility in Carlingford in Sydney’s north west. It opened its doors in January 2013 offering older people the opportunity to ‘age in place’ with the dignity respect and flexibility that such a journey requires. It is situated next to Alan Walker Village Wesley Mission’s independent living village offering residents a range of care options as their needs change. Wesley Rayward Carlingford takes its name from the Rev Frank Rayward who was Superintendent of Wesley Mission from 1938 to 1957. During his time as Superintendent Rayward greatly advanced the cause for disadvantaged older people in the community many of whom were struggling to live on meagre inadequate pensions.Rayward publically advocated on their behalf playing a significant role in persuading the then government to subsidise homes for older people and expanding Wesley Mission’s work in opening more homes for older people.Welcome to Wesley Rayward, Carlingford NSW
