ACH Group Highercombe is a state-of-the-art aged care home which opened September 2009 and is able to care for up to 126 residents (56 low care and 70 high care), featuring single rooms with ensuites, along with larger rooms for couples.

It includes several special features, which highlight the strong emphasis placed on quality of life and positive ageing, underpinned by excellent care and lifestyle options.

There is a distinct blend of indoor and outdoor lifestyle, with the facility designed to encourage interaction and activity. One of these features is the arcade lifestyle hub to promote family involvement, which includes:

Outside, residents have access to beautifully maintained gardens as well as BBQ areas for family use.

Highercombe embraces an innovative model of resident wellness, involving both staff and residents sharing a commitment to improved wellbeing. Central to the model are seven key elements, to which residents pledge to follow. These include exercising regularly, maintaining strong personal relationships, being open to learning, performing acts of kindness and adopting positive communication strategies.

Residents are encouraged to get involved, to use their voice and to assume active roles within Highercombe and the wider community. They are also encouraged to be active and take advantage of the on-site gym. Specialist dementia and memory support services are also offered.
