Gold Coast Aged Care welcomes Mekong Vietnamese Aged Care in Keilor East, VIC 3033 residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms by bringing items from their previous homes.
Mekong Vietnamese Aged Care (MVAC) is part of the Indochinese Elderly Refugees Association of Victoria (IERA) organisation which caters for low and high care residents in 'brand new and refurbished' 65 beds. It is the first aged care facility which embodies clinical care and typical wide ranges of cultural activities for Vietnamese speaking community in Victoria. Established in 1995 by Indochinese Elderly Refugees Association Victoria Mekong Senior Citizens Hostel [as it was known then] was the first residential aged care facility providing care for elderly Vietnamese in Victoria. It started operation with 32 residents who needed low level care. In 2005 Indochinese Elderly Refugees Association was successful in receiving an additional allocation of bed licences and a capital grant which have enabled it to increase the amount of accommodation on offer to 65 places.Welcome to Mekong Vietnamese Aged Care, Keilor East VIC
