Located in the beautiful town of Healesville in the picturesque Yarra Valley Monda Lodge provides a home-like environment for residents where independence and friendship is encouraged. Maintaining a connection with the community is a priority at Monda Lodge. Family and friends are encouraged to visit with no set visiting hours. A range of activities and events are offered with Monda Lodge¿s own bus available for outings and weekly shopping trips. Entertainers guest speakers and local school groups visit throughout the year. A comprehensive range of activities pursuits and outings are available. A structured program provides opportunities for gatherings in groups and or individually. The program which is led by qualified staff with the support of volunteers is designed to meet the individual needs of each resident taking into account their preferences and abilities. Attractive secure garden areas provide a serene relaxed environment with ample opportunities for outdoor activities peaceful contemplation and private and social gatherings. Seating and external features such as a fixed BBQ are available. Residents stay in their own single bedroom with electronic bed telephone outlet television aerial point and en-suite. All meals are prepared on the premises and served in the dining room with residents also enjoying access to a kitchen to prepare drinks and snacks at any time. A lounge area has comfortable chairs coffee tables television and gas log heater. Monda Lodge¿s personal care workers with clinical support from a Registered Nurse provide round the clock support 24 hours a day. Several GPs from the local community visit providing medical services to the residents; however residents are able to continue to visit their regular GP if preferred.
