HUON ELDERCARE is a community based not-for-profit organisation for rural health services, contemporary services of residential and community care packages. The facility is based in Franklin, overlooking the majestic Huon River. Huon Eldercare provides single, private rooms with own ensuite for permanent and respite residents in pleasant surroundings. We provide a choice of many recreational areas that provide for a wide range of activities within the Huon Valley. Huon Eldercare has a solid reputation for providing excellence in health and aged care to the Huon Valley region. Huon Eldercare recently acquired the Esperance Multi Purpose Health Centre (EMPHC) which opened in 1993. The Centre provides a range of health care services which are designed to meet the changing needs of the local community. Residential care includes 16 aged care beds, together with 2 rural hospital beds and 1 bed palliative care unit.
