Set within the close-kit community of St Andrew's Village, McKay House is a warm and friendly facility, and is centrally located being approximately 1km to the CBD. The facility is home to 61 residents, with one section of 21 beds dedicated to support people with dementia. McKay House is a high care facility offering dementia specific care and respite services, and provides a homely and inviting air conditioned home for residents with many services and lifestyle activities available. McKay House is focused on each individual resident, in ensuring that their needs and requirements are identified and met throughout all programs. The accommodation is spacious, with a range of bedroom configurations from single to shared rooms. Each bedroom has an ensuite with handrails, an emergency call system, air conditioning, access to pay tv, picture rails and built-in wardrobe, all within a secure building. McKay House is part of an integrated campus which includes a hostel, self care village and community care services, therefore allowing UnitingCare Ageing to attend to the individual needs of every resident despite their care requirements.
