Gold Coast Aged Care welcomes Melrose Cottage Settlement in Pendle Hill, NSW 2145 residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms by bringing items from their previous homes.

Melrose Village is set in 3.2 hectares of landscaped gardens in Pendle Hill centrally located between Blacktown and Parramatta and about 25kms north west from Sydney CBD. Pendle Hill local shopping centre is just a short walk from the village and Winston Hills Mall is a short drive or bus trip away. Pendle Hill railway station is just 200 metres from the Village and the local bus services operate just outside our doorstep. Melrose provides the benefit of companionship and the security of knowing someone is always available to help. The emphasis at Melrose is to provide a home-like environment with people who really care for your needs. All meals are prepared on a daily basis and in consultation with our nutritionist. They are well-balanced healthy and appetising meals and special dietary needs are easily accommodated. Resident rooms are spacious single rooms with lots of natural light and all have an ensuite bathroom. All rooms have emergency call buttons provided in bedrooms and bathrooms ensuring that assistance is on hand 24 hours a day. Melrose features a number of spacious lounge and activity areas internal courtyards which are directly accessible from some resident rooms and the Jasmine Tea Room which provides a cafe area where you can enjoy a cup of tea in a relaxed atmosphere. Here at Melrose there are a range of social programmes and activities available. The activity program is carefully designed to meet the recreational spiritual and cultural needs of the residents. We also have a facility bus designated for resident outings. For those requiring extra care Melrose offers a dementia wing (Lavender Wing) with care for up to 20 residents. Lavender Wing provides a stimulating yet secure environment for those residents requiring such specialised care. The care staff are specially trained to ensure that resident safety is maximised without compromising their enjoyment of life and are on duty 24 hours a day. Lavender Wing has a separate dining and lounge area. There are also enclosed outdoor areas where residents can sit and enjoy the gardens. Lavender Wing offers a safe environment and peace of mind as both the facility and the surrounding grounds are fully secured with keypad entry and exit. The new Camellia Wing of Melrose Lodge consists of 31 new bedrooms six of which are double rooms to accommodate married couples should the need arise. Each bedroom has an ensuite bed bedside table wardrobe sink small refrigerator comfortable chair and a 40 flat screen TV. The rooms are individually air conditioned and nurse call buttons are in the ensuite and on each multi-function bedhead. Common areas include a large lounge room dining room activities room a library two sun rooms and large undercover balcony. A spacious internal courtyard has plenty of seating with umbrellas provided for shade. The kitchen in the Camellia Wing will service the whole facility. This well-designed kitchen has state of the art technology with new ovens BBQ cook tops large work benches and plenty of room and equipment to cater for over 100 residents. An integral part of the work was the establishment of a centralised administration area called the Administration Hub. Administration staff members now have more space and better facilities with a new kitchen and dining area allowing them to feel more relaxed. Also featured in the he Administration Hub is a large conference/seminar room with improved training facilities and state of the art audio visual equipment.
