Montrose Aged Care Plus Centre is a fully accredited and government approved aged care centre for men only, whose focus is care services for males with behavioural and mental health concerns. We operate on the principles of ‘person-centred care’ where we learn what is important to each individual and aim to provide a range of programs and support to cater to these preferences. This model of care encourages a shared understanding about what is important to the person and their family for day to day living and the future. Montrose Aged Care Plus Centre offers care for people with mental illness or challenging behaviours. The Centre runs a number of specialised programs designed to improve the physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing of people with mental illness. Residents have access to 24 hour compassionate care staff, access to a team of visiting medical practitioners including general practitioners, physiotherapists, dieticians, podiatrists and speech pathologists, and a full time Chaplain on site providing support for the spiritual and emotional needs of residents.
