Operating from a social inclusion and human rights perspective, annecto has a strong commitment to assisting people with dementia, intellectual disability and acquired brain injury, older people and their families and carers to engage and participate in the community with the aim to live better lives in a home of their choice. annecto's inclusion aspirations ensure that our focus remains on increasing social, civic and economic participation.

Our approaches include early interventions at key transition points in an individual's life, active involvement of family and people close to the individual combined with flexible multi-layered and multifaceted planning and practical assistance. Effective business and community partnerships create the right opportunities to connect with others in the community and to build on individual and community resilience and capacity.

annecto's 500 +staff, volunteers and students work closely with a diverse community including 2,450 people with intellectual and physical disability and their families, children, youth, older people and carers. annecto further assists more than 6,400 people through the After-Hours team and a further 1000 members of the annecto-hosted network: disAbility Connections Victoria.
