Copperhouse Court Hostel

Gold Coast Aged Care welcomes Copperhouse Court Hostel in Whyalla Stuart, SA 5608 residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms by bringing items from their previous home.

Copperhouse is located on the Western side of Whyalla close to the main shopping centre and was officially opened on 10th October 1992 by the Minister for the Aged, Family and Health Services, the Honourable Peter Staples.

Copperhouse Court consists of 41 fully accredited low care places including a specific secure dementia wing.

Personal care services include social and general support extended to residents assessed as being in need of daily assistance with personal care, mobility and meals.

Community & Social Networks

Regular visiting services including doctors, pharmacy, dentist, pastoral care, hairdressing, physiotherapy, podiatry, speech pathology and dietician are all available to residents. The activities team and volunteer group provide a wide range of leisure activities, to meet the individual needs and interests of our diverse resident group.

Environment & Services

The attractive and well maintained facility features lovely landscaped grounds, with an outdoor entertainment area, and private lounge areas that are used by residents for private functions and social activities.

Leisure and Lifestyle

A planned activities program plays a vital role in contributing to residents' well being and quality of life. Leisure and Lifestyle staff gather information from residents which helps to relate and understand the history, background, interests and abilities of residents. They plan and regularly evaluate individual, group and site-wide leisure activities.
