Gold Coast Aged Care welcomes Southern Cross Care (SA & NT) West Beach Residential in West Beach, SA 5024 residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms by bringing items from their previous home.

West Beach Residential opened in November 2005 and is situated in an ideal location between the open grassy plain of the airport and the lovely sandy shores of West Beach.

West Beach offers a total of 80 beds for both high and low care residents and a 34 bed ‘Extra Service' wing. All rooms are private and spacious with ensuite facilities, lovely outlooks and the latest in nurse call technology.

The communal areas offer large flat screen televisions, luxurious lounge chairs and cosy corners where residents can chat amongst themselves or entertain family & friends.

Scrumptious meals are prepared on site and served in small, friendly dining areas by a dedicated team of professionals. West Beach Residential boasts a very active lifestyles program maintained by devoted staff and volunteers.

The program includes community visits by The City of West Torrens mobile library and students of the West Beach Primary School, as well as a wide variety of group activities coordinated onsite.

Pastoral care services include a monthly “friendship afternoon tea”, provided by the local Baptist community.

Hairdressing and beautician services are provided onsite and a Community bus is supplied for excursions.

The management and staff of West Beach Residential are highly skilled, with qualified nurses available on site at all times. All staff members pride themselves on providing individualised emotional, physical and spiritual care and exceptional service.

Extra Service

“Extra Service” is a culture of service providing residents with the ‘best of the best' - a far wider choice of meals, a physical environment with enhanced recreational and communal areas, and a larger variety of lifestyle choices.

All rooms are very private and spacious with outdoor views, ensuite facilities, LCD TVs and individualised climate control and nurse call systems.

The communal areas feature wall-mounted LCD TVs and include a large and exclusive indoor-outdoor ‘Club Lounge' and balcony (relaxation and superb views are the keywords), an a-la-carte dining room and a cosy private dining room where residents can dine with family and friends. The West Beach Residential “Extra Service” wing, where the accent is on quality of service and where you can smell the sea air, enjoys vistas towards the Mount Lofty Ranges and Adelaide, the airport and Linear Park. Residents can curl up in a quiet corner and read a book or chat with friends, knowing they have outstanding, experienced and caring nursing staff close at hand.
