Resthaven Mitcham has been providing quality aged care to the local community since 1962. The facility offers high quality accommodation and support.

With views of the Adelaide Hills, Resthaven Mitcham accommodates 106 residents, including 47 high and 59 low level care places, incorporating two low care respite places and a 15 place low care secure unit for people with memory loss.

Features include the communal entertainment areas, regular bus trips, volunteer opportunities, a small shop on site, a library and regular newsletters. There is always something going on - films, concerts, quizzes - it's your choice to participate or not.

Landscaped gardens were designed with environmental management in mind. The sunken garden filters water discharge during downpours. North-south orientation of resident areas maximises natural light.

Resthaven offers high and low dependency care services for people 60 years and over who need assistance with daily living activities. Eligibility for care requires an independent assessment by an Australian Government Aged Care Assessment Team. Following assessment approval, Resthaven's admissions process includes an evaluation to ensure our facilities are appropriate and that accommodation is offered to those applicants with the greatest need. Each person's circumstances differ, and our Admissions Officer discusses individual needs and advises the next steps.
