Gold Coast Aged Care welcomes Anglicare St Johns Home For Men Residential Care in Toowong, QLD 4066 residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms by bringing items from their previous homes.

Located on a hillside in the historic and picturesque suburb of Toowong in Brisbane, Anglicare Southern Queensland's St John's Home is exclusively reserved for male residents.

The property on which St John's was established was originally owned by Mr & Mrs Moxon. The property was gifted to the Anglican Diocese of Brisbane in 1932 by the couple's daughter, Mrs Briggs for “use as a home in connection with the Church's social work”.

The name St John's was chosen to honour Brisbane's St John's Cathedral.

About our Community

Spread over two levels, St John's features spacious kitchens, living and dining areas with a centrally located canteen.

A generous community space provides an ideal environment for residents to enjoy indoor games or other activities. Our diversional therapist plans regular outings and activities for the enjoyment of our residents and to encourage mental and physical agility.

Home to 64 residents, the rooms at St John's are air-conditioned and offer ample storage space including a substantial wardrobe, drawer and shelving. Our music therapist conducts group sessions in addition to one-on-one activities.
