Snug Village

Gold Coast Aged Care welcomes Snug Village in Snug, TAS 7054 residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms by bringing items from their previous home.

Snug Village built in 2003, is located at 10A Torpy Avenue, Snug. It is a small rural community situated 30 kilometres south of Hobart Tasmania. Whilst being close to the facilities of the Snug Township, the facility maintains a country feel with views to surrounding hills and countryside.

Beautiful Snug beach is also just a short walk away. The facility is positioned on a level site within other residential properties. Snug Village offers high and low care residential accommodation, respite and includes a purpose built 12 bed secure accommodation wing.

The home is a modern, bright and airy facility with all single rooms and private ensuites. Provision has been made for adjoining rooms to accommodate up to three married couples.

Snug Village offers a homely and comfortable living environment, supportive and friendly staff, and a commitment to provide quality care.

The services of a Hairdresser and Podiatrist are offered on-site. Residents are encouraged to participate in the life of the Village according to their wishes, whilst maintaining their independence and continuing community links with family and friends. Staff, with assistance of volunteers, runs an activity program designed to offer a variety of activities to suit all needs. Activities include bus outings and music afternoons.

Snug Village has a large activity room with a pool table available for resident use. It also has a Chaplain who visits the facility on a weekly basis.

Snug Village is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens and outdoor sitting areas that provide opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy the pleasant surroundings and rural outlook.
