It is conveniently located on the south side of Gatton in the Lockyer Valley Shire which is known as 'the salad bowl' of Queensland – where quality fruit and vegetables are grown. Common areas Amaroo’s dining room accommodates all 22 residents. A centrally located large lounge with piano leads to a smaller TV area with kitchenette and all common areas are air conditioned. There is an outdoor area complete with barbecue gazebo expansive lawns and seating arrangements where residents and visitors can enjoy the sunshine. Residents also operate a canteen.
