The Village At Coorparoo

Gold Coast Aged Care welcomes The Village At Coorparoo in Coorparoo, QLD 4151 residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms by bringing items from their previous home.

Located on the corner of Cavendish Road and Goring St Coorparoo, The Village at Coorparoo will consist of 208 independent living units, 57 assisted living units, 105 bed aged care facility and the heritage listed ‘Erica' building.

Stage one of The Village will consist of Building one and the restored ‘Erica.' The Village at Coorparoo will be ‘apartment style living' in three to four storey buildings.

Building one contains 52 independent living units (two and three bedrooms), many with spectacular views to the City, the Story Bridge and the surrounding suburbs. Building two will contain 38 independent living units. Most units will have North / North East aspects with great views. ‘Erica' will be extensively restored and renovated to be utilised as the initial Community Centre of The Village.

Completion of stage one is scheduled for early 2012. The Village at Coorparoo is ideally located high on the hill on Cavendish Road and within five kilometres of the Brisbane CBD. It is close to major hospitals, service and sporting clubs and several major and local shopping centres. Similar to the Village at Yeronga, The Village at Coorparoo will provide three levels of care within the integrated Village precinct.

Queensland Rehabilitation Services Pty Ltd (QRS) is very happy to announce that during the release of the last ACAR round we were fortunate to gain 105 bed allocations for the aged care facility to be located within The Village precinct at The Village at Coorparoo.

Of the 105 beds, 72 will be designated to low care and 33 designated for high care, including three respite care beds.

The new facility will have apartment style living. The purpose designed units will have their own ensuites and will be within easy access to all the services. The facility will have its own coffee shop, beauty salon and consulting rooms available for visiting doctors, physiotherapist, podiatrists etc. In addition to the care services, a comprehensive activities program will allow the residents to socialise and integrate with the wider community, if they wish.

QRS has been providing services to the local population in the Mount Gravatt East and Carindale areas since 1973 in three local aged care facilities. QRS is a family owned organisation, staffed by care professionals who take the time to listen and respond to the wishes of our individual residents. Our facility will have staff on duty 24 hours a day. We look forward to providing quality aged care services to the residents of the southern suburbs of Brisbane in our new aged care facility.
