Gold Coast Aged Care welcomes Scalabrini Village Allambie Heights in Allambie Heights, NSW 2100 residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms by bringing items from their previous homes.

Allambie Heights Village is situated on Sydney's northern

beaches, a short drive or bus-ride from Manly. It is only

a short walk to local shops and a regular bus service to nearby shopping centres. The village is set in a large,landscaped garden among bushland, perfect for those that love the outdoors. There are barbecue areas for residents and their families.

Levels of care

We cater for all ages and accommodation needs: nursing home, hostel and selfcare accommodation. We provide 24-hour care for men, women and married couples.

Accreditation

We have accreditation from the Aged Care Standards Agency of the NSW Department of Health and Ageing. This guarantees we provide a high level of care and meet all aged care standards.

Spiritual and pastoral care

There are four church services held each week in the chapel including two masses celebrated by the Scalabrinian Fathers. We have regular visits from chaplains from other denominations.

The Passionist Sisters have a convent on site and provide pastoral care to all our residents in Italian and English.

Volunteer program

We offer a structured volunteer program to community members with training, mentorship and a rewards program. Volunteers may help residents with their everyday lives, such as taking them shopping, or they may just provide friendship and support.

Entertainment

Allambie provides plenty of common space including a recreation room, lounge rooms, and games room as well as a large garden.

We provide free-to-air TV (in common rooms and in private rooms if installed) a video service, and Italian television (via satellite). Our library (and book club) provides a wide range of material and there is Internet access to online content.

Food and diet

We achieve the highest possible food standard (A-grade) measured by the NSW Food Authority. We take pride in maintaining a very high standard of food preparation, catering services and kitchen facilities. Our residents enjoy a wide variety of fresh food from the Italian influenced menu.

Organised activities

Participation in the regular bingo, card games, parties, group and individual activities is encouraged. We offer arts and crafts and cooking classes. Regular outings are organised including: sightseeing and shopping trips, picnics and visits to other villages. We organise celebrations around festival days as part of our Australian and Italian cultural heritage including many Saints' days.

Health and lifestyle

We organise regular exercise classes to keep the residents healthy. There are visiting professionals providing physiotherapy, diversional therapy, dentistry, and podiatry services. We have regular visits from a hairdresser and pedicurist.

Access

Buses from Manly stop close to the village. There is plenty of parking for residents and visitors. All facilities are on one level providing easy access. Allambie Heights is 300 metres from the nearest shops.
