Calvary Retirement Communities are owned and operated by Little Company of Mary Health Care (LCM Health Care), a Catholic, not-for-profit national health, aged and community care system, providing a broad range of services in five states and territories. During a typical year, Little Company of Mary Health Care services will:

Accommodate more than 700 people in our aged care services

Care for 164,600 inpatients in our public and private hospitals

Deliver more than 6,000 babies in seven maternity units

Provide more than 90,000 outpatient services.

Treat some 60,000 people in our emergency departments.

Assist a further 120,000 people through our community-based services.

Provide more than 10,000 clients each month with home care support.

Provide palliative care services to more than 5,000 people each year

Over 8,000 staff will be employed within the system

Calvary Retirement Community at Bruce welcomed its first residents in December 2006. There are 78 independent living units with a choice of two to three bedrooms, all with quality fittings, attached garaging and choice of floor plans. Central to the village is a Community Club House providing residents with access to a library, chapel, multi-media room, gymnasium, business centre, cafe and a host of other facilities for the discerning retiree.

A 25 seat bus provides services to local shopping centres and attractions and will also service residents of the residential care service. This has a total of 100 licensed places in the form of apartments, servicing the needs of residents requiring low, high, Dementia specific and extra service care. This modern state of the art facility compliments the Calvary Health Care Services that have been in Canberra since 1969.
