Caladenia Nursing Home is located in the semi rural town of Kilmore approx 61 kilometres from Melbourne on the Northern Highway. The Hume Freeway provides easy access from the CBD and in particular from the northern suburbs. Situated in the Shire of Mitchell The Home is an integral part of the local community and has a long standing reputation for the delivery of excellent care. Caladenia is a Commonwealth funded high level residential facility providing 2 single rooms with bathroom/shower facilities 14 single and 7 double rooms with shared facilities and one booked respite room. Subject to availability there is opportunity for couples to be accommodated in shared rooms. Resident rooms and communal areas are pleasant spacious and well maintained. All resident rooms have telephone/television connections Wi-Fi and Foxtel accessibility ceiling fans and hydronic heating. Corridors are wide and there is level access throughout the facility. Residents have access to the secured garden area with BBQ facilities and the designated “Parlour” provides a venue for family gatherings. Continuity of care is assured through the delivery of 24 hour care by our stable workforce of qualified experienced Nursing Staff. The facility is co located with The Kilmore and District Hospital allowing for ready access to more complex medical care should the need arise. Residents are able to choose their own doctor pharmacy requirements are delivered daily and in house pathology can be attended by a visiting Pathology Service provider.
