BCS Carey Gardens first opened its doors in 1990 where it originally housed 50 residents. In 1996 the centre was increased to 65 residents due to demand and has since undergone significant refurbishments.

Each wing of the facility is connected to the other and linked to the main dining room/lounge room by means of glassed passageways providing access to beautifully landscaped courtyards. All rooms are very spacious and the facility also caters for couples who wish to be co-located with adjoining doors to rooms.
